About Sophia Wietrzna

Sophia Wietrzna is a Polish author and artist. She was born and brought up in Poland. She graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow with a master’s degree in English Philology.

A few years ago, Sophia set off on a wonderful journey of personal development and self-discovery. Her writing is a reflection of this path. In her novels, she combines fiction with her personal experiences. What seems to be magical or paranormal may as well be the author’s real-life experience. Or some version of it. Things are not always like they are described or categorized, and looking beyond the obvious may lead to amazing discoveries. Quantum physics may be very helpful in discovering or uncovering how things really are.

Sophia calls her novels energetic novels. The events and words in her books are not linear. They are multidimensional and usually have more meanings than what’s on the surface. The creative process is also multidimensional.

“I write in the flow. And I’m always absolutely fascinated both by the process that takes place and the outcome. Zero planning. I just sit down, and the stories or ‘scenes’, as I call them, unfold or stream down. And suddenly, I discover that I would have never come up with what I’ve just written. And then I smile and say, ‘Wow, that’s really something.’”

Apart from writing and painting, Sophia loves traveling and discovering beautiful places. She loves Nature.

She currently lives in the Caribbean with her husband, two sons, three fairies, and a forest spirit. She’s always dreamed of a house full of Nature Beings.
